Acceptable Use Policy

AppMD is a tool for understanding software you are allowed to analyze. These rules keep it that way.

Authorization is required

You may only upload applications that you own, that your organization owns, or that you are explicitly authorized to analyze, for example under a penetration-testing agreement or with the rights holder’s written permission. When you upload a file, you confirm you have that authorization.

What AppMD is for

  • Understanding and documenting your own applications.
  • Authorized security review and QA.
  • Auditing third-party apps you have permission to inspect.
  • Learning how systems are architected, at a high level.

Prohibited uses

  • Analyzing apps you have no rights to, or to infringe intellectual property.
  • Cloning applications or extracting proprietary source to reproduce a product.
  • Circumventing technical protections, DRM, or license enforcement.
  • Any unlawful activity, or use that endangers the security or privacy of others.

What AppMD does not do

AppMD produces documentation and understanding, not a decompiled source dump. It is designed to help you comprehend software faster, not to copy it.

Enforcement

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate this policy and, if required, cooperate with lawful requests. Report abuse to abuse@appmd.dev.
